Valle de Vió
We start from the Añisclo valley car park (13 km from Escalona), to continue ascending the road.
15 km from Escalona: detour.
On the left branch we will go up - with fantastic views over Añisclo - to the quiet towns of Vió (4 km from the detour) or Buerba (5 km). Its landscape of meadows stands out, surrounding the buildings. Vió has a tiny church from the 12th century that had beautiful Romanesque paintings. In Buerba, its square and its set of threshing floors stand out. From this last center you can descend to Puyarruego along a beautiful route that runs through the sunny oak forests (or oak forests) of the Yesa River valley.
Km 15.
If from the detour we continue along the right branch, we reach Nerín after taking a new detour to the right (19.5 km from Escalona). Nerín (hotel, hostel). Church of the s. XII with later remodeling. Starting point to ascend to Cuello Arenas, where cross-country skiing is practiced and fantastic excursions can be undertaken.
Km 26.5
Fanlo. This center stands in a beautiful location, among green meadows surrounded by ash trees, cherry trees, hazelnut trees, boxwoods, etc.; and a beautiful panorama. Towards the south, the mountains of Las Sestrales and Peña Montañesa stand out, to the N Punta Acuta and El Pueyo. Several ancestral houses from the 16th-18th centuries stand out: El Señor, Ruba, Satué, etc.
From Fanlo, the road descends through the Jalle or Chate ravine between beautiful and extensive forests of beech, birch, fir, maple, willow and pine until it reaches Sarvisé, already in the Ara valley (38.5 km from Escalona). .
